Title of Invention

The fabrication method of silver/carbon antibacterial composites, and application of antibaterial liquid

Technology

Simple and low-cost fabrication technique of silver/carbon core-shell composites is presented for the development of antibacterial liquid based on such composites. The antibacterial liquid can be sprayed on the surfaces of the object and the human skin.

Benefits

  1. Reduce the uses of toxic sodium borohydride and long-chain polymer compounds during the synthesis based on the usage of high biocompatibility  and low-cost carbon nanodots as a reducing agent for the formation silver nanoparticles.
  2. Using carbon nanodots as a stabilizer for improving the long-term antibacterial stability.
  3. Plentiful sources of raw materials can be found for fabrication, such as tea slag, coffee grounds, carbohydrate, and therefore the wasted resources could be reused for meeting the purpose of circular economy.

Possible Applications/ Industry Categories

This invention presents a novel silver/carbon composites in solutions that enable to provide a rapid and easy-employed antibacterial properties.
